How the chat works

Each message you send is a design brief or a change request. Graphicly updates the design and refreshes the preview. Your design is autosaved after every change, and every meaningful change becomes a version in Design History.

A prompting playbook

1. Anchor the format. 'Instagram post, 1080×1350' locks composition before typography choices.
2. Name the mood in one or two adjectives. 'Editorial', 'brutalist', 'playful pastel' compound better than paragraphs.
3. Provide the exact text. Copy that must appear verbatim (headlines, disclaimers, quotes) should be in quotes.
4. Iterate in small deltas. 'Bolder headline. Swap accent to violet. Move the CTA up.'
5. Reference your brand kit. 'Use the primary brand color for the button' works when a Brand Kit is active.

Adding images

Attach assets from your Assets library directly in the chat. Uploaded images can be referenced by role ('use the product photo as the background') rather than by filename.

Recovering from a bad turn

If a change goes the wrong way, open Design History and Restore the previous version. Restores are additive — the restored state becomes a new version at the top of the history, so nothing is lost.

Working with slides

A single design can have multiple slides (great for carousels). Use the slide navigator above the preview to add, reorder, and delete slides. Bulk Mode is the fastest way to create many slides that share a layout — see its dedicated guide.
